Contract of care

Assumptions

  • P. and the rest of the community enter into a care contract for a period of one year, one month, and one day from mid-July.
  • The purpose of the contract is to help P. leave survival mode and stabilize his life in a safe community environment.
  • We will jointly determine any further actions in the last two months of the contract.
  • All processes will be conducted on the basis of subsidiarity (supporting P. in his efforts) and anarchist participation.
  • In emergency and unforeseen situations, we will ensure open communication and collective decision-making.
  • We maintain mutual confidentiality and reasonable trust. We allow ourselves room for mistakes and misunderstandings, but we do not accept abuse. We do not hide problems, but discuss and resolve them immediately.
  • The contract expires after the agreed period, by mutual agreement at any time, or by decision of one of the parties, after notification of the other party, collective attempt at renegotiation, and at least one month to find another solution.

Community obligations towards P.

Satisfy the need for safe shelter by:

  • finding a studio/small apartment for rent in Gliwice;
  • concluding a lease agreement;
  • financing half of the rental costs during the term of the contract;
  • organizing, financing, and carrying out the move from Poznań;
  • in the event of loss of housing, providing a short-term place to live until the next accommodation is found.

Meet the need to restore and maintain health by:

  • helping to obtain health insurance;
  • until it is obtained, helping to obtain free medical care;
  • if necessary and within the means of the Community, covering the costs of necessary paid medical assistance;
  • helping to plan and implement daily work to improve and maintain health.
  • assisting, if necessary, with doctor’s appointments and other contacts with healthcare providers.

Meet the need for security in the face of the state-capitalist system by

  • helping to clear any formal and financial arrears;
  • helping to activate available tools: trusted profile and electronic access to public services;
  • helping to obtain the maximum benefits from the state and local government: pensions, insurance, personal assistance, other support.

Satisfy the need for a regulated lifestyle by

  • helping with daily functioning, planning household activities, shopping, and other routine activities;
  • assistance in obtaining personal assistant services (financed by local government).
  • having a person who will explain the mechanisms of life in autistic-neurodiverse (technical) language and provide tools for mentally organizing the world;
  • assistance, upon request, in learning to perform basic daily activities independently.

Satisfy the need for social contact by

  • providing psychological support in difficult moments;
  • creating a safe space for participation in TePeWu activities;
  • participating together in social and cultural events in the city;
  • providing support in emergency and unforeseen situations – depending on needs and possibilities.

P.’s obligations to the community

  • To the best of their ability, help to achieve the objectives of the contract (and in any case not sabotage it).
  • Ensure open communication, in particular:
  • communicate all their fears or reservations so that the community can respond constructively and quickly;
  • Identify the person they trust the most, with whom they can share difficult topics (and who will be responsible for communicating them safely to the rest of the community).
  • Call for help whenever and immediately when they need it.
  • clearly communicate changes in their needs and situation (e.g., “I need to isolate myself for three days” or “I need someone to stay with me all day tomorrow”) so that the community can take them into account.
  • not be discouraged by misunderstandings and missteps on the part of those involved.

Annex dated September 4, 2025

On September 4, 2025, a meeting of the contract group was held, at which an annex to the contract was agreed upon.

Content of the annex

In order for the community to continue to fulfill the contract, changes in the behavior of both P. and the rest of the community are necessary.

P. agrees to:

  • Accept mental health care from trusted and trans-friendly professionals. Options include: psychologist, therapist, psychiatrist, day psychiatric ward.
  • Take care of the room provided. Once a week, with the support of a community member, thoroughly clean the room and bathroom, with a focus on acquiring the skills to maintain order independently.

In addition, all involved parties will work together on further changes.

  • Find a friendly primary care physician, conduct comprehensive tests, and work on regaining full physical health.
  • Disclosure of all medical recommendations. If P. disagrees with them, discuss the medical records together and seek consensus.
  • Avoiding handling community and contract matters through private channels. There are and can be created appropriate group rooms for this purpose. If there is something that P. is not ready to write publicly, there are two trusted individuals (Just and Philbob) who can do so on his behalf. Private communication has no effect on the fulfillment of the contract.
  • Practicing respectful communication that maintains boundaries. If these rules are violated, the person should clearly and assertively state what violation they see and may interrupt the conversation until the next day or another resolution of the situation (whichever comes first).

We are giving ourselves until October 4, 2025, to assess whether there have been observable improvements in the above areas. We can then reassess the situation and formulate another annex.
