We have identified trans-friendly medical facilities, which is a non-trivial challenge in Poland:
- GP “Medical Center Copernicus” in Gliwice. Respecting the identification of patients “is in our regulations,” as a very assertive coordinating nurse told me on the phone. We will test this in practice soon.
- Mental Heath Center in Tarnowskie Góry, via ul. Opolska 21 G Tarnowskie Góry (open Mon-Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). A friendly and straightforward psychologist also confirmed that although appointments with Dr. Błachut are scheduled for next year, everyone is trained in trans issues, the day ward is available, and all we have to do is come.
